Along with the bathrooms and front desk, the CLT branches into the Media Presentation room, Digital Recording room, Innovation Studio, Graphics Work room and the Web Design Station. There is also a display along the side of the front desk called Memory Lane (Shown Below). It has on display eight anitique machines that were once considered state-of-the-art audio and digital technology. After superseding each other over the years, they were all made obsolete by the computers available to students 10 meters away. To think that my laptop will join their ranks in a decade to come!
Both PC and Mac computers are available to the students working there. The CLT is very quiet, although group projects can potentially make it a loud setting. The room also smells like old bookshelves. As mentioned above, the CLT is divided into computer sections that specialize in audio, video, presentation and web design technology. The computers at those stations only have those specialized softwares. For example, a computer in the video section does not contain Adobe Photoshop.
